Job Description

To perform complete inspection layouts and studies on new and revised products.

Job Duties

• Perform layout on new and revised products.
• Perform statistical studies and prepare reports.
• Assist and/or fill in for the shift inspector as needed.
• Other duties as may be assigned by the Q.A. Manager.

Interaction:

• Must be able to interact with all levels of employees internal to the company.

Qualifications:

• High School education or equivalent.
• Minimum two (2) years experience in an injection molding environment.
• Minimum two (2) years experience in Q.A. environment.
• Minimum one (1) year experience performing layout inspections and working with the associated equipment. Specifically caliper, micrometer, vision machine & CMM.
• Strong math background.
• Be capable of setting up basic programs on the Vision Machine and/or CMM or able to understand the concept at a minimum to learn.
• Be willing to continuously receive training and education and take on new responsibilities.

Accountabilities:

• Perform layouts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform the duties of the shift inspector when needed.

Job Specifications:

• Must have an in-depth knowledge of various types of inspection equipment such as: micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gages, comparators, gage pins, gage blocks.
• Must have a general understanding of personal computers and calculators.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, including geometric tolerancing.
• Must be able to read, speak, and write English.
• Must possess a strong match background.
• Must be able to judge colors.
• Must have an understanding of S.P.C. and process capability studies

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
